In a particular set of calculations the Cost Calculator only uses cost data relating to a particular year, although it can handle several years of placement (MIS) data. This implies, for example, that if you choose to calculate costs for a five-year period the Calculator will shows constant cost values. The calculations for all the years are done at the same prices; the Calculator cannot use historical price data (only current salary costs, etc…).

You can, however, calculate costs for 2006-7 using 2006-7 unit costs and save the results. You can then calculate costs for 2007-8 using 2007-8 unit costs and aggregate these results with those you have already obtained for 2006-7.
